Picture this: your wedding is wrapping up. Your guests are beginning to stream out and the best day of you life is coming to a close. We have seen two events happen at this point.. each one having its own experience!
You can either do a fun exit or let your day end without a hard cut off time. They both have their pros and cons! With the exit, you get amazing pictures and videos and it lets your guests know that the party is over! This is also an easy exit point for you two to leave without having to help clean up the day hahahah. If you choose not to do an exit, you get to spend a lot of time with people, but usually they filter in and out because no one really knows when the day is over and usually you guys will get stuck on clean up committee in all your wedding attire afterwards.
Here are some of our favorite exit ideas:
✨ Sparklers ✨
They are always fun and create a super cool affect for your video! When shopping for the sparklers, make sure you get long ones that also produce minimal smoke. If there is too much smoke, you guys will get covered in a cloud for all your pictures. We often advise couples to line up at the end of the tunnel before anyone even lights a sparkler. Just to make sure that people don’t light their sparklers too early before you guys are ready. (That happens more often that you would think!) Also, be prepared by having MULTIPLE lights and buckets of water for your guests to put their burnt out sparklers in.
Confetti ????
I love this exit if you can time the throw right! The pictures always turn out really cool and it’s a little bit easier to organize than sparklers. Just make sure someone came prepared with a broom so the clean up is easier! I recommend chunky confetti as opposed to smaller bits so you can see them better in the pictures and video. Also they are a lot easier to clean up!
Bubbles
A true classic! I love this idea for an exit! The light bounces in such a pretty way off the bubbles! It’s easy, clean and everyone gets to take a little gift home! Before buying your bubble packs in bulk, test one out to make sure the wands are easy to blow through. Sometimes the cute designed ones don’t create the best bubbles!
Forgot?
If you wanted a fun exit, but forgot to plan it, no fear! Just have everyone pull out their phones and turn on their flashlights and wave them around!
If you wanted to make sure you had a cute get away car, make sure you assign your bridal party to decorate your car in all the cute ways or else everyone will probably forget to do that! People are super willing to decorate, it’s just an easy thing to forget about!
Good luck with wedding planning and we hope you find this wedding exit tip helpful! Xoxo
